Officer Corps Management Systems Analysis and Redesign
| Project Summary. Perot Systems has been the
primary support for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in its officer
corps Human Capital (HC) transformation. Following September
11, 2001, the USCG’s mission priorities shifted and it was moved
into DHS. As part of this evolution, the USCG engaged us to
evaluate its officer corps HC preparedness. We performed the
first such comprehensive review of the USCG officer corps management
and promotion system in 40 years. As a result of our review
and recommendations, the USCG has begun implementing significant
changes to its workforce management policies and procedures.
